Sean Swallow was born in 1973 in Stockport and read English at the University of Liverpool. He has been a bookseller and a garden designer.
He started writing again in 2014 after a twenty year break, and is currently studying for a MA with The Open University.
His abiding passions are landscape, reading and dogs. As a garden maker his expertise is widening from making distinctive and beautiful gardens to ensuring wildlife and wildflower habitats. He reads widely but has always returned to poetry as his main interest. He is the guardian of two red dogs, one big, one small and believes passionately in the compassionate treatment of animals (and humans!). Sean is a supporter of Compassion in World Farming.
He lives on the borders and Gloucestershire and Monmouthshire between the Wye Valley and the Forest of Dean.
